What, exactly, and with detail, would you propose as a precise alternative or precise alternatives to the current situation and process. We all know war is bad and killing civilians is intolerable, so how exactly do we fight against an enemy who embeds itself in the civilian population, at times explicitly as human shields? Other than walking up to each of them individually and shooting them one by one, there doesn't seem to be a means of achieving your concept of a "sanitary" war...
