To all Gibraltar boats: According to message from agent in Gibraltar, sent via the Asta-Leitselle (Intelligence Command Headquarters) in Paris, convoy HG-70 has left at 1500h and not as previously reported in the early morning. The last ship has passed Europe-Point at 1600h. The boats are given new patrol grids, to enable interception of the convoy at daylight.

1907 - Norddeich Radio sending O.K.W. report about enemy air raids in the northern and northwestern coastal regions of Germany. Residential areas of Hamburg and Kiel have been hit, with few civilian casualties. Enemy bombers that attempted to attack Berlin, were repelled by Flak. Night fighter shot down 3 and Navy Artillery shot down 1 British bomber.
