What they need to do is come up with a kernal that can handle software from all their prior operating systems without us having to make our systems multi-boot and have each system taking up valuable space on our hard drives. I mean.. DOSBOX is a great program and all, but we need a "WINDOWS 98 BOX" etc..
It would be nice if they would actually do something like that.. but I know they won't. I have so much cool old software that I love to run that I just can't say goodbye to and have had to jump through hoops to get them to run just under XP alone.. let alone the ones that wouldn't run at all.
I worked as a computer tech and I can't tell you the ammount of stuff I've loaded on Vista machines.. and these programs were within maybe two years old and they weren't compattable... let alone the hardware issues I've had with it.
