but i think it's better solution to use
Submarine's .sim&.cfg (modified for engine ratio + independent control patches) from Volodya. There are all ready included my two fixes for VIIb (speed drop and reverted engine control fix) together with some other tweaks.
Or maybe you prefer my new revision of Volodoya's
