USS Argonaut, our only submarine-transport, hit a mine trying to drop off supplies. The damage is significant but survivable.

Land combat:
Ambon: deliberate attack - forts reduced to Level 1, casualties 300(J) to 57(A). Next attack might do it.

China

Sinyang (ground forces): 19 casualties
Kiukiang (ground forces): 40 casualties

Burma
Air raids:
Raheng (ground forces): 0 casualties
Uttaradit (ground forces): 0 casualties
Port Blair (port attack): 1 hit (no ships hit--none present?)

Looks like the convoy is gone, just in time to avoid the CVBG. Not worth chasing them south. I know Port Blair doesn't have Betties, but Sumatra might.

Papua New Guinea
We've finally taken Hollandia. Casualties 364(J) to 4(A), enemy units running off into the jungle.

BB Queen Elizabeth arrives at Aden
DE Bangust arrives at Los Angeles
