I did some testing with particle effects ;launching plans from both guns and torpedoes and IIRC, this caused CTD. Firing a torpedo which works like a missile (which the modern sub modders have been doing successfully for cruise missiles and the like) is possible, but what we are looking to do is launch an object which then activates the AI plane controller and whatever I tried to make that happen caused CTD's. There were a couple of other ways I thought of doing it (by embedding the AI controller in the torpedoe.dat file, but that caused CTD when launching the game, even before launching a mission. I really don't think this can be done.
