This one is kind of hard to see in a photo so i'll narrate.
we had just gutted a convoy of tankers and then went deep to evade.
"Deep" being relative in that we were in 275 foot waters.
we caught a break and found a thermal at approx 255 feet.
this DD and her cousins were pinging their a$$es off trying to find us.
THIS particular DD sailed right over the top of us, at about 1/2 knot more than our speed. it felt like it took an hour for her to completely pass us by.
And pass us by she did.  
This last shot is the same engagement with a second DD sailing right over the top of us. fortunately, we were not really breathing so there was nothing for them to hear.

Nice. East China Sea is always a interesting area due to the shallow waters and heavy traffic. Esp when they do the slow roll above and cant tell if they actually detect you or just suspect or you expect them to drop and they do not...or they wait forever to drop lol.
