Default [REL] Trans-Atlantic Radio Mod

The Zoo Keepers Modding Team (ZKMT) from Ubi Forums announces this release from the first modding team from Ubi Forums, the Trans-Atlantic Radio Mod under the leadership of team leader dgrayson (Dave Grayson). As team Crash Test Dummy, I am elected to bring this first ever Ubi Forums mod to SUBSIM.

The mod brings two German radio stations to any submarine, including American boats in the Pacific, and is full installable with JSGME. The download may be obtained from Trans-Atlantic Radio Mod. Individual radio stations, RRG Radio (Rel_SH4_RRG_Radio_Only size is around 415 meg expanded) and DHB Radio (Rel_SH4_DHB_Radio_Only size is around 350 meg expanded) only contain that station and the Support folder. The official readme and introduction by Dave:

This MOD adds two radio stations to Silent Hunter 4. It will work with any version of the game from 1.0 to 1.5 (U-boat Add On). The MOD consists of two Radio Stations, RRG and DHB Radio. Together, with their Support Directory, they constitute Trans-Atlantic Radio.

RRG is a representation of Radio Berlin. It has authentic German language broadcast clips scheduled to play in the game as the dates are reached. In between broadcasts the radio plays German martial tunes and service songs (Lieds) and some beer drinking music. There are, however, a couple of Easter Eggs in the song list and one of the events. I'm sure one will delight "Das Boot" fans. The station begins events on September 10,1939 and continues to May 1, 1945. It is a world wide station. If you use one of the Setup MODs in the Support Directory it will be heard on Frequency 44.

DHB is a representation of the English language broadcasts from Germany aimed at the Allies. There are clips from the "America First" movement and isolationist's speeches that play up until Pearl Harbor that were rebroadcast from Germany. There are some "Axis Sally", "Lord Haw Haw" shows and "Charlie and His Orchestra". Charlie was a native German musician that played song parodies that mocked the Allies. There is .jpeg of an advertisement for his band in the Support folder. There is also an Easter Egg or two in this station. The station begins events on September 10,1939 and continues to May 1, 1945. It is a world wide station. If you use one of the Setup MODs in the Support Directory it will be heard on Frequency 57.

The MOD is designed to be enabled with JSGME. It will be a simple process.
Download and extract the MOD to your MODS folder.
Open the Support folder and move the Setup MOD of your choice to the MODS folder. Enable the Radio Station MOD, then enable the Setup MOD.

You do not need to be in Port.
The MOD is compatible with all the major Supermods, like TMO and RFB. The enabling order does not matter.

If you have other radio MODS, do not use the Setup MODs. Instead, enable the Station MOD and alter your radio.ini (C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific\Data\Sound\Radio\radio.ini) as follows:

Add to the end of the radio.ini and save.
