The TDW mod caused CTDs in the mod originally. That may have been due to computer resource use and not as much memory on computers back when. We have not tried it recently, and do not plan to. YMMV - Try it as you may, but the team does not sanction its use. It does not directly manipulate the ships, but rather adds a file in the Library folder.

FotRSU has several "sinking" mods mixed into the mod, but not all ships have the same set-up. One ship will sink from flooding only (brought about by damage from torpedoes or shells). Others will use only hit points to initiate the sinking sequence (again, brought about by damage from torpedoes or shells). Others use a combination of the two. The hitpoint-only ships are generally the ones that exhibit the behavior you describe. Sometimes, just a pinch more wind will take them under from the sea-state, or maybe a couple of hits from a 20mm cannon... The combination ships are the ones that might experience an internal explosion an hour after being torpedoed, and then sink. In all cases though, ships can and do sink hours later in FotRSU, and then, sometimes they don't and you have to help them along more...
