Thank you very much! Just removed the font folder in the mod times and behold the umlauts are there, second positive side effect is the font of the messages are now much sharper. Negative is now a bright spot on the upper right stopwatch in the periscope view with which I will live for now until a usable font for the mod was found. I call fast and effective teamwork!
