After my regular IL2 rebooted while exiting from it I've been having unsolvable problems with the game's window "focus". The game launches but remains in a sort of background mode. The mouse is still on the desktop which makes it impossible to control the views in the game.
Installing everything again, patch by patch, is a nightmare, so it's much easier having IL 46 at hand just to be able to make an easy re-install.
