We finally got got here. Princeton's Avengers got jumped by a CAP of 5 Zeroes, 14 Georges, and 2 Tonies, too much for the 11 Hellcat escorts to handle. We shot down 2 Zeroes and a George but lost 1 Hellcat and all 9 Avengers.
7 P-38s swept Saipan, shooting down 2 Georges with no losses (total CAP strength 20 aircraft)
