Hawaii
The daily 4 BB bombardment of Pearl was down to 3 BB. Maintenance?
The Kates that are here aren't in sufficient numbers to convince me that the KB is actually here. Maybe a 1 CV detachment.
East Java Sea
Betty raid on Surabaya. Somewhat frustratingly because of how little help we got from land-based fighters during the carrier battles, our CAP was pretty good at 22 planes. With the cost of just a Hawk and a P040, we downed a Zero, four Oscars, 6 Betties, and 3 Nells. The first wave of bombers didn't even reach any ships. The second wave got through but missed.
The Lexington is in the southern Indian Ocean and is getting pretty desperate for fuel thanks to running at high speed. I'm sending out some transports to act as tankers. They are still potentially in range of Betties, but they'd be unescorted and armed with bombs this far out.
Sumatra and West Java Sea
Betties raided Batavia and scored a bomb hit on a minelayer and a submarine tender in port. Air losses were 1 Hurricane vs a Zero and 3 Betties.
Malaya
We hit JB again, which maybe wasn't a great idea after yesterday. We lost one Hurricane to the Nate swarm, and shot down one Nate. AAA took down a bomber. Most of our bombers were damaged so we're going to have to take time to repair. We inflicted light facility damage.
Borneo
Samarinda (the smaller base adjacent to Balikpapan) has been captured.
