Sargo class (USS Spearfish)started off out of manila (by now, base has side shifted to Surabaya, Java) mission objective started off, make way through smaller islands that form up on South end of Luzon.. exiting the San Bernardino passage, make way up East side of Luzon & patrol off Apari for 10 days.

Completed that, then got radio message telling Me to make way for Corregidor docks & pick up fleet personnel there & drop off at Darwin.

Here's where the question comes in..

Got to the docks, where I got completed for pick up. While there resupplied fuel & torps.

Right after that, got message stating to go to Surabaya...

So... where do I drop off the personnel that I picked up at the docks... Surabaya or Darwin..????

I got a marker that showed at the docks at Corregidor, but nothing to indicate where (if at all) I am to drop off the passengers I picked up.

Date, currently in game is.. 19/12/41 & saved just after clearing the Sulu sea area... just north of the 1 base there on the East side of Borneo, before that base there falls.

So, I have time to get a reply back to My query... Thanks.

As in most situations then, things were in a bit of a rush. "Evacuate to Darwin" turned into "go to Surabaya instead". It was not known for certain where the Manila-based US subs would withdraw to. The "pickup" is the important part. Get them out of Manila. The Japanese were pushing and over-running every front. Some did go to Darwin, but were moved to Surabaya shortly after. When Surabaya falls, some boats went to Albany, but were eventually moved to Perth. Remember also, that Darwin was bombed in 2 devastating raids on February 19th, and practically the whole town was abandoned, being well within aerial range of Japanese planes on Timor. Utter chaos the first months of the war.
