Sorry to revive this thread but it's not so. I've done what written above and my ME is fully blank, no units listed in any roster. ( TWOS Mod last version and update, fresh install, no additional mods activated, nothing in more than the TWOS mod said in brief )
It's the TWOS Mod that seems to completely destroy the Mission Editor.(IMHO)
You need/it's better to have 2 separate installations: 1 vanilla, the other with TWOS ( If you plan/intend to use the mission editor ) to stay on the safe side.

*If I'm right please add this info in the main page of the TWOS mod so to avoid to re-install everything ( Like I have to do now ) for the ones that intend to use the mission editor, thanks!
