Merkel lived of a reserve that was build before her. She managed growing deficits, but did nothing to fill reserves up, or to add new reloads. She was heaivly committed to pushing EU obligations through. Last but not least to prevent illusions that Germany depends on to collapse early. They will collapse - after Merkel has gone.



The quality of German school education in eroding since two decades at least. Ever growing numbers of student cannot correctly read, write, or do simple math. But universities are battling over written gender speak and gender-* The rsults of this show in all fields and in all branches, more and more. You reap like you sow. And Germany has sowed messy.



We take comfort from listening to ever repeating porpagdna slogans and pltlical ohrases that remind me time and again of the smae langaue that was used on the news broadcasting of the GDR TV, Aktuelle Kamera. Its back on air. The same phrasing, the same use of language. The same empty phrasing, the very vers same phrases. The GDR is not dead. Its live and well, it just changed dresses. Nowhere you can see that clearer than in the poltical perosnnel pool, and the state-run media.



There is nothing new under the sun - except what has been forgotten. Forgetting in this case took less than 30 years.
