At that point I was too crushed to watch much more. I checked the IMDb and the reviews were mostly raves, several for the film's reality.

Some of the post War movies are funny in a sense. I laughed at the cliché Nazi stereo type. The torpedo launch countdown was goofy too. I think this would be a good movie for a re-make, since Hollywood can't come up with any new ideas.
