There had been too much smileys lately so that seems like a anti puke therapy for some.
Ahmadinejad went home not so long ago.
Celebrations of the islamic revolution might be a cause as well..
I don't think anyone is expecting any serious response from USA or is interested in one at this time.
It is simply dick waving for internal purposes and all the groupies.
