The HMS
Hood steams at 18kn with heavy escort.
Shortly before 0100, the first of three torpedoes hits the ship.
Listing to port and with only the starboard propellers turning, the
Hood slows down.
The escorts are frantically searching. My actual position is in the area of the red arrow.
By 0400, I have maneuvered to the other side. A fourth torpedo is sent into the bow of the now stationary ship.
Shortly before 0430, the
Hood turns turtle and sinks bow first.
