As Karle94 says it looks to me like an british C-Class cruiser.
A class of light cruisers mostly built during WWI. Some units were modernized in the 1930s. The
Caledon,
Ceres and
Carlisle sub-classes were still in service during WWII, also in the Mediterranean.
