Make sure yours isn't commented out, i.e. if it looks like this:

it means it's disabled so remove all the semi-colons ";" in front of the lines to activate it.
That works fine for me.
Keep in mind using SHIFT+I to automatically ID the ship tells you what ship it is but you still have to manually scroll through the rec manual until you get to the right page. |
