Might check the page-file; make sure it's big enough (3GB or more should be good for you) and make sure it's not fragmented. Basically that means making sure you have a fair bit of free space on the HD/partition it's on and that it's defragged regularly.

* and of course the standard "make sure all drivers are up to date".
