I was visiting SubGuru today. What exactly does this mean in regard to SCU?

"ALSO: -- If you were previously playing with a SCU playable Sub, ... please 're-select' your Sub, using the Sub Changer Utility ... before playing Sub Command."

Do you need to reselect the your current SCU playable sub via SCU each time before launching SC? I thought the game remembers this?
