The screen starts to fade to black and then fades back in on external view to show your boat for a few seconds, after that you get artsy picture saying how the other kaleuns wished to see you become one of the aces yaadidaa. The last pic might change as you progress, as when you die you can see your 'rank' which in my case was "promising".
