Default U-Boote Crews - Daily Life 1939-1945

I just picked this book up off of Amazon on a whim and I have to say I'm pretty impressed so far. While it's not exactly lengthy (128 pages, but in a large coffee-table sized book) the amount of pictures and information it packs into those pages is incredible. Flipping through it, you really get a sense of U-boat crew training through photos and full color depictions of U-boat artifacts, tools and equipment from people's collections...most of which I've never seen before. There's one picture of a crew whose just shot a polar bear and they've hauled it up on deck, ready to augment the canned food diet. Too funny!

I'll write a full review after I'm done with it, but this thing looks like a winner.
