That one looks quite inaccurate. I think the book "Tom Clancy's Submarine" has a three view drawing.

but i think that's either a 688 (SSN688 LA Class) or 688FlightII (SSN719 USS Providence and the next few)... FlightII boat would be my guess...

but for modelling sake, you could take the dive planes from the sail of the sub in this pic, stick em midway down on the hull, fwd of the sail, and you'll pretty much have a 688I (SSN751 San Juan and later)...

And what's all that goop running down the back of the sail?

Did the crew have curry the night before and that's the 'poop shoot'?

i find it hard to believe anyones desktop is that neat :)
