OM ID

Well after some research i found that OM already has a ID Target feature in its files listed under a key combo of Shift + I but for some reason it does not work. This feature shows up in OMEGU v300 and the files in there also list a toolbar posistion and key commands but none of it works.

Anyone got any ideas on how to get these to work? :03:

OM merchant ship stats

Here's a link to my Operation Monsun merchant ship list. It's a MS Word document (2 pages) that lists the merchant ships, their approximate tonnage & their draft.

Updated original post with new info.

Open SH4\Data\Cfg\Commands.cfg and search for "identify". This should take you to a section similar to this:

Code:

[Cmd343]
Name=WP_Identify_target
Ctxt=1
MnID=0x3F130002
Str=1073
Key0=0x49,s,"I"

Make sure yours isn't commented out, i.e. if it looks like this:

Code:

;[Cmd343]
;Name=WP_Identify_target
;Ctxt=1
;MnID=0x3F130002
;Str=1073
;Key0=0x49,s,"I"

it means it's disabled so remove all the semi-colons ";" in front of the lines to activate it.

That works fine for me.

Keep in mind using SHIFT+I to automatically ID the ship tells you what ship it is but you still have to manually scroll through the rec manual until you get to the right page.

After eventually getting round to checking the ID Target it appears to not have the ; at the start of that section. :-?
