[REQ] Improved Crew Models
would it be hard to improve the general shape and appearance of the crew models ? they always seemed kinda blocky and slightly disproportionate. and their bright textures always seem to stand out in the command room. so would anyone be interested in correcting the crew models, and perhaps working on some new clothing/facial textures for them? if i had any modelling experience i would do it myself.. but i can at least advice people on proportions. (many years of life drawing)

yapp, it is. no way to get new animations til now...and only changing the model results in a damaged animation.
|
This will be a new killer when somebody can change the models and
that the animations will be alright. I have seen a post on this forum with screenshots of it. |
Crew models
Would be kinda cool if the crew started to grow beards after 2 weeks on patrol....:D

Moin,
basically this would be possible, but it would be a hell of a task. As all animations refer to 2 basic body models, you would have to re-create all animations once you have changed the basic model. And we are talking about all animations for all crew members using the same body shape for a base. Would be easier to import SHIV crew, I reckon. But don´t nail me down on it. ;) Regards, DD |
That post that i have read and the screenshots that i have seen
was about ported crew from shiv. I surely know that i haven`t dreamed it. |
Moin,
would love to see those screenies. As it´s not just copy and paste I can imagine only very few people who have the knowledge to port SHIV crew to SHIII. Regards, DD |
It must be somewhere on this or ubiforum.
There were problems with the animations. |
Just out of curiosity, where does sh4 keep its crew models, theres no "crew" folder as there is in sh3.
|
Moin,
if I´m not mistaken you´ll find them here: ...\SHIV\Data\Animations.onDemand Regards, DD |
