Question about Torpedo Damage Final 2.0 mod
 
After looking at some posts it seems this mod is quite popular with GWX3 players,so I decided to get it myself.I took a chance at trying it (then reload my game again) out a few mins ago against a Brazillian steamer heading into Kiel and fired a quick one into her.The water jet seems higher than before (cant really tell),but the thing that really shocked me was the message "she's going down" instantly!.That has never happened before in tests I have done,normally taking 2 or even 3 to sink them.

What I need to know is,apart from the graphical additions to the mod has the author increased the damage settings at all?Even though a lot may like that,I am hoping the damage settings were left alone,giving us just the improved hull damage effects.And even then I couldnt notice much as the torp depth was set to 4m and the light is fading too.And I also have external cam off :nope:

The mod changes absolutely no settings....it is simply a tga/graphics file.

Just one more question about the mod,apart from the improved hull damage effects,do we also get improved blast effects?,such as fire within the water blast?,and more thicker smoke?,because I havent seen that so far.The reason I am asking this is because I have external cam off and its quite hard to see most of the damage (counter productive I know),but if I get to about 500m of a future target at some point in this patrol I would like to see all this new damage :cool:
If the blast/and smoke effects have NOT been improved is there a mod out there that gives us this?,and could you give me the link for it?

I believe it is just graphics of torpedo damage and shell damage-holes in the ship. There is no additional smoke/flames.

Enhanced Damage Effects Mod that came with GWX will give you some.....enhanced damage effects. I've been using that lately and like it. There is a lot more smoke and explosions.
I've recently downloaded RCB's SH4 effects GWX3.0 V7.1 and will probably enable it after my current patrol and see how that works out.

Check out Anzacmikcs Damage Immersion and Markhs super smoke v2.They might fit the bill.
