1914: Shells of fury mod problem-help

Hi,

I'm kinda new here, maybe you can help me out.

I, have both the CD-ROM Version and the download version of, "1914: Shells Of Fury". I, have NEVER successfully moded a PC game before, so, I went to a website called, "eHow", but it didn't really apply to what I was seeing on my screen. So, needless to say it didn't work.

Now, the system I have my SOF downloaded and installed on is a Dell Studio 1737 Dual-Core CPU, Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit laptop with a ATI Radeon HD 3650 series graphics card, 4GB Mem. I, have Direct X-11, and my resolution is set at 1440x900, (if that means anything).

I downloaded the periscope mod, and because I have WINZIP 12 installed on my laptop, a WINZIP pop-up appeared on my screen, so I chose "Extract". I extracted the new file to what I saw in my "Documents" folder, which was listed as: "Shells of fury data". All it did was Extract to the "Documents" folder-file, but not in the game.

What am I doing WRONG !! :damn:

Can ANYONE "spoon-feed" ME the RIGHT WAY as how to MOD this game??

You can reach me here of course, or you can E-mail me at: robertnapper@comcast.net

In case you need it, my cell # is: (313)-485-9974.

Please, contact me ASAP, if possible.

ANYTHING YOU CAN DO TO HELP ME WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. :yeah:

CHEERS!!

I was sleeping and just saw some activity here. I would extract the file into a folder you create and then view the contents. There may be an install document.

I've only installed the Kurs West mod available on this forum site.

Found this on the mod list page.
To install the replacement periscope or MG reticule, place the texture in your SOF textures folder, but back up the original first before you do!
