Unlike some installers? There are no pre-condition checks in the Installer of some Mega Mods.
GWX 3 is one that does this pre-istalled check. However. GWX 3 DOES have a Backdoor that allows me to extract all the files to an empty folder. :03: |

Is TWoS THE megamod or are there others to consider too? And should I pack any mod on top of SH5+TWoS? |

Was toying around a bit trying enigma, what a workload! I need one of the ladies in their Wehrmachts gray. Now a little problem, deciphered the message and send it to shiplog, but there it is also only encrypted. Is the decrypted message save somewhere, or do I lose it when decrypting the next? |

I decided to come back to Silent Hunter 5 after 6 years. I installed the mod with no problems, but there are two thing that makes me not 100% happy of the playing. Both of them happen in the same historical mission "The new merchant fleet": 1. There is no damage on the vessel after the torpedo hits. "3D ship damage" option either ON/OFF doesn't help. As I understand, this models were imported in the game by modders (so should be some limitations), but at least 2D damage should work, right? Strangly enough, in the mission where "stock" ships are used, only 3D damage works. If I switch it OFF, no damage is shown at all. 2. The smokes (both from the ship engines and fires due to damage) disappear at some distances, when the external camera is used. And in weird way: when you are close to the ships, you can see the smokes, you are getting far away they disappear suddenly, but if you continue to move away they start being rendered again. The "no-render" distance is very narrow actually, no reason for that. So it is definitely a bug. I have all graphical settings on Max. Trivia Question
Is there a way to stop to bob and weave we get during the exterior view of the boat? I don't mind the rocking and such when I'm on it but when viewing from afar I'd rather I wasn't flying all around the sky during storms.

After installing TWoS, my game starts with a training mission, although I know that this should not happen. Which files are responsible for this? What did I do wrong? :hmmm:

I have downloaded the TWoS mod and update ran both exe's selected the mods I wanted installed. Is there any visual difference when TWoS is installed I see absolutely nothing different.

First, I have to apologize for my absence here on Subsim, lot of stuff happen during the past year for me, both good and bad, so I really couldn't spare much time for modding and answering your questions. My PC is also quite old now and until I replace it my internet access is mostly reduced to my phone, which isn't the best thing for modding and forums, you'll have to agree. :) However, I've managed to squeeze in few hours and fix some errors I stumbled upon couple of months ago.
