New Game Seaorama

If you are like me in that your a bit of a ship nerd and you like simulation and strategy games then perhaps this game is for you.

Seaorama

It was released in December 2023 and there are still updates on going however overall the game play is very good.
The objective is to build and manage a fleet of ships, these ships can be bulk carriers, oil / gas tankers and container ships I am sure there will be more to follow as well.

Your role is to assign crew and manage the loading, maintaining and routing of the vessels in order to achieve profit. You can purchase new ships with bank loans and you are required to achieve certain points and recognition to open up charters and also do business with the banks so i is a business simulation as well as strategy based.

There is likely going to be a multiplayer function built in sometime in the future so you can play against people and not AI making it even harder to do.

Overall if you enjoyed games like the Tycoon series, including cruise ship tycoon and ship tycoon plus Trans Ocean then you will enjoy this game as it is more involved and in depth.

Heres the trailer for the game it is available on Steam and Amazon.

It looks great. Is this premium subscription or free version?

Kapitan 03-05-24 12:20 PM

I got mine free on amazon as I'm a prime member so I assume that maybe the case but i cannot say for certain.

Looks interesting.

Business simulators are simular to wargames. Instead of destroying things you have to deal with economics.

One of the reasons I liked some of the Railroad Tycoon games.

You are still doing battle against an enemy, but you have to win by being smart, not just violent.

Yeah!

a new version 2.0 will be released soon

overall the game has a lot of promising merits, it is more in depth than the trans ocean series that is for sure.

It can be a bit repetitive but so far I have a fleet of 33 vessels, tankers bulkers and container ships and the balance is healthy too

I am hoping they incorporate a more real world port limits and canal limits right now you can get a ULCC through the panama canal and well no chance in real life.

you also have oil tankers and product tankers able to carry LPG / LNG in reality these ships cannot carry these products as well.

Its a work in progress but its coming along a treat :Kaleun_Cheers:

I had the game on medium and ended up with 45 ships I had 2/3 on charters went very well until I overwrote the game save file

I have restarted the game this time in Hard mode to see how it plays out and even in hard mode its playable you do have to put some thought into it though

There is word it may become multiplayer as well

What I have learnt is that ships degrade in Eco rating as they get older and after 25 years they may sink if they don't sink before hand due to negligence.

Some screenshots of the hard mode and medium mode note you can purchase ships with a bank load this was a VLCC i purchased and you can paint it as you wish with the colour pallet provided.
