I wasn't here before Bill Nichols or John Channing and I'm not as good a liar as Sailor Steve but I deserve the prize.
:p :p

If you look carefully, you'll see that Neal has 0 posts and I have over 150, so I was here posting BEFORE Neal even created Subsim, so I WIN !!

Actually, Rick, if you look back in the EZBoard archives, you appear as far back as Feb 2001.... :hmmm:

...but I'm pretty sure Bill and John were onboard before then, too. John wrote the first DiMercurio article for Subsim in Sept 1998 :D

x2 Steve's a stand-up guy, and has my inflinching admiration. Of course, I would have to add you, geetrue, to my personal list of SubSim heroes as well. Truly so.

And to think, we had another forum before that one that dates back to 1997...

Heh, I was trying to find that old forum but no matter where I looked, nothing came up.

Btw, a select few (and I mean few) of the old threads and posts are available at that site, but it is luck of the draw. In any case, I'm totally pissed that I missed Subsim at that point, even though I was playing sub games! How dare you not be popular enough in your infancy to not be known by me!

Like I said earlier ... Neal, best site on the net, hands down! You know your thing and make it happen for everyone else who gets the point.

there is a site, archives.org, or something like that where all old web sites, minus images, go to lie down.

I remember when I first met Neal....Lets see now, it was a bright sunny day, the animals were all gathered at the foot of the ramp waiting to board the boat. Neal came up asking for to directions to the new Sub....I'd never heard of such a boat, but it got my interest, so I tagged along for a look see...the rest is history.

I didn't know how to write back then, so I didn't post for a long time....LOL...

In reality I joined a few months before SH2 come out, so I know I'm not the oldest member. My earliest post I could find was in Feb. 02, and that was post #25.

It's good to see some of the old timers.
