Hello - Another new guy with questions

Hi I'm very new here so I hope this post doesn't bother anybody. I have a few questions.

from what I understand to get this game running correctly one needs to install wolves of steel.

As somebody new to the series is it unreasonable for me to go ahead and play maybe 20 to 40 hours of the vanilla just so I can understand what changes are being made in wolves of steel?

I tried wolves of steel last night and there was a problem with it always being dark time even when it's supposed to be day. i can cycle a 24-hours and it's always night time anybody have any idea what I did wrong? I uninstalled for now.

Is there a mod just for a gramophone only? I would really like to add some time period music to the background.

There is so much information in so many mods for this game I am overwhelmed at the moment so any help I can get from you guys to simplify it for me I would really appreciate it.

One thing that trips a lot of people up is TWoS mod installer and the game itself need to be run in admin mode. Another possibility is your resolution. Only 16:9 is supported without modifying your active mod modules

Hi TheNolan,

Yes that's interesting. I have an older monitor using 8:5. I haven't used it in a very long time as I'm just now getting back into PC gaming from oh 12-13 years ago lol. This old monitor still looks great at 1920x1200 though.

Is it even worth my effort to look into your suggestion of modifying the active mod modules? I don't even know what that means. :)

It's super easy, there's an exe the mod installs in your game folder somewhere that you run. Then just select the thing you need out of a list a click the add button.

If you go to mods for sound, I uploaded my entire gramophone music list. Enjoy!

Thank you. I added the 8:5 to the active mod list and that fixed the all night problem.

Does anyone know how to get my English voices back with wolves of steel? I understand it's cool to hear the German voices and I might want that in the future but right now as I learn how to play I'll need to hear and understand what the people on my boat are saying.

Thank you for the audio list bstanko6! I just tried the gramophone a few minutes ago and it is working. Excited to add those to the available songs.
