WAC the Hell?

OK guys. While playing WAC 4.0 I received some strange BdU messages!

My sub is U-123

As you can see (above image), BdU wants that I go to Gibraltar and to destroy as many warships possible!

Here (above image), you can see my U-123.

And the above image shows my status. Sent to BdU.

Kapitänleutnant Hardegen has the same U-Boat (U-123), I received this message???

WAC the hell is going on? BdU (in WAC) sent the same message to me to attack warships at Scapa Flow!!

This is real suicide ...

They either realize how great commander you are or they are just trying to get rid of you and your crew.

Seriously, I think these messages are scripted. You just happen to have your U-boat the 123.

Ford Prefect 09-02-09 06:15 PM

Had any crew transfers recently? Perhaps they secretly put Bernard on your boat and these orders for suicide missions are an effort to get rid of him for good!

JMV 09-02-09 06:33 PM

So the bottom line is either they're trying to get rid of you or they're trying to get rid of Bernard... You gotta make sure if Bernard is aware of that, otherwise might find yourself with little air left to breathe...

Solution : Make the first move, get rid of Bernard anyway. :haha:

Ford Prefect 09-02-09 07:14 PM

Load Bernard into the stern tube and launch him while running at flank speed so he can't swim back aboard. Do it in choppy seas far from land and then report the loss of Bernard to BdU. I can see the message now:

"well done, return to base as situation permits, first round is on BdU!"

Renoun for Bernard

Wonder what the renown is for eliminating Bernard? Unfoutunately GWX will just spawn another one.:DL

Ford Prefect 09-03-09 06:12 AM

I think you'd probably be hunted by the allies even harder if you killed bernard since he's so good at screwing up the KM from the inside!

What's WAC 4.0?

and... any success in sneaking into Gibraltar?? :rotfl::rotfl::arrgh!:

Very funny to read all those comments. :DL LOL!

I must say, WAC is very impressive to play, funnel smoke, lifeboats & debris (from Rubini) are all included. Hard work for your video card! :yep:

Also your position on the U-Boat (bridge) is very well done.

I don't understand the buggy - strange - messages. I never had these kind of messages in GWX 3.0, NYGM or LSH3. These supermods (in my opinion) have correct messages.

They (the above supermods), never have sent me a message to attack warships at Gibraltar or Scapa Flow during a patrol mission? :hmmm:

By 12 January 1942 the British Admiralty's intelligence community had noted a "heavy concentration' of U-boats off the "... North American seaboard from New York to Cape Race" and passed along this fact to the American Navy. That day, U-123 under Kapitänleutnant Reinhard Hardegen, torpedoed and sank the British steamship Cyclops, inaugurating Operation "Paukenschlag," (literally, "roll on the kettledrums") and commencing a veritable "blitz" against coastal shipping between New York Harbor and the Outer Banks. U-boat commanders found peacetime conditions prevailing along the coast: towns and cities were not blacked-out and navigational buoys remained lighted; shipping followed normal routines and "carried the normal lights." "Paukenschlag" had caught the United States unawares.

etc. etc.

U-123 and Kapitänleutnant Reinhard Hardegen is a true story ... after searching in Google.
