James Bond Thread!

Just as the title suggests, ONLY clips from JB's movies are allowed when posting. Which means movies from 1962 onwards!

James Bond

The James Bond series focuses on a fictional British Secret Service agent created in 1953 by writer Ian Fleming, who featured him in twelve novels and two short-story collections. Since Fleming's death in 1964, eight other authors have written authorised Bond novels or novelisations: Kingsley Amis, Christopher Wood, John Gardner, Raymond Benson, Sebastian Faulks, Jeffery Deaver, William Boyd, and Anthony Horowitz. The latest novel is Forever and a Day by Anthony Horowitz, published in May 2018. Additionally Charlie Higson wrote a series on a young James Bond, and Kate Westbrook wrote three novels based on the diaries of a recurring series character, Moneypenny.

The character—also known by the code number 007 (pronounced "double-O-seven")—has also been adapted for television, radio, comic strip, video games and film. The films are one of the longest continually running film series and have grossed over US$7.04 billion in total, making it the fifth-highest-grossing film series to date, which started in 1962 with Dr. No, starring Sean Connery as Bond. As of 2021, there have been twenty-five films in the Eon Productions series. The most recent Bond film, No Time to Die (2021), stars Daniel Craig in his fifth portrayal of Bond; he is the sixth actor to play Bond in the Eon series. There have also been two independent productions of Bond films: Casino Royale (a 1967 spoof starring David Niven) and Never Say Never Again (a 1983 remake of an earlier Eon-produced film, 1965's Thunderball, both starring Connery). In 2015, the series was estimated to be worth $19.9 billion,[1] making James Bond one of the highest-grossing media franchises of all time.

The Bond films are renowned for a number of features, including the musical accompaniment, with the theme songs having received Academy Award nominations on several occasions, and three wins. Other important elements which run through most of the films include Bond's cars, his guns, and the gadgets with which he is supplied by Q Branch. The films are also noted for Bond's relationships with various women, who are popularly referred to as "Bond girls".

I have a James Bond NATO watchstrap that Daniel Craig wore in the movies! It did not match the watch it was intended for as well as I expected, thats why it found a nice dark corner in one of the cupboards where it rests nice and well! :shucks: One day it will serve as the alibi I use to convince myself to buy another watch that fits the colours and look of the strap so well. Thats clever, eh?! Its always recommended to have an unused James Bond watchstrap flying around somewhere. That way the next buying of a watch becomes a necessary buying for a cause!:yeah:

The two best titles songs of the series, imo. They both are on my list of "eternals". Okay, the second is the end credit song, but who cares.

@mapuc Had a complete set before but disappeared in connection with moving.
@Skybird "For Your Eyes Only (James Bond Theme)" Is the best movie and song also for me. I love the film location and its different environments.
Shirley Bassey is to count in too.:Kaleun_Applaud:

For your eyes only was my initiation into the James Bond world. My father came and said " Son, lets go and get that film done", and we did, in West-Berlin, Royal Palast Kino 1, Europacenter, which had for many years the biggest widescreen in the world, especially build for the movie Lawrence of Arabia.

Boy, did I had a crush on Sheena Easton! :D And Brooke Shields... But who would blame me...?! :03:

"Darling, I give you very best duck".

And....

"At least he died on the job, he would've wanted it this way".

My first Bond was Dr. No, when aired here. My parents and I saw a bit, since they already knew the films and character, but also said that was what that cartoon was based. Now, what cartoon, I can not remember, possible some cartoon spoof of James Bond or secret agent.

I think that was one Hanna-Barbera, but can not remember. At the time, noting was similar so, didn't care much.

Many years later, our first prive broadcasting channel, possible do to Pierce Brosnan's first Bond, aired all the Bond films until that date, Sunday afternoon(during several weeks, one filme per sunday) and I watch them all.

Funny, the one that is consider the worst and he gets married, as scenes shot in Portugal...
Also, I kind dig Timothy Dalton films. Liked the first and understand that the last one was more a revenge story, from characters that we already knew.
