SH5

I have not played this game since it came out, I have the DVD from back then and installed it, and other patches.
What does it take to get this game running, or does it even work?
Can any one help?; Thank you in advance✌
I'm a long time Sub simmer since 1986.

It's pretty simple. You need to launch the game by clicking on the Silent Hunter 5 shortcut on your desktop. :D

You might have to "update" your Ubisoft Connect. It's been years since I saw my SH5 disk, and I may have thrown it away in disgust back when. I have a Steam version now. I am almost afraid to attempt to re-do my TWoS install to the latest because of Ubisoft issues with their "connect" program, which basically does nothing anymore except get in the way and cause troubles... Are you trying to get The Wolves of Steel installed?

Download from Ubi the Ubisoft Connect thing, install it and try.

Good luck.

Just remember that once you get the Ubisoft Connect part working, go to the Ubisoft settings and select "Work offline". I am also running the Steam version of SH5 and I have set my Ubisoft to offline and now have no Ubisoft problems.

My SH5 DVD Gold Edition patched to 1.2 with TWoS works with online mode and I save my games in the cloud and the PC. Using W!0.
