[rel] TypeXXI-1939-JSGME

I have greatly reduced the size of my previous 7z file and packaged this to be JSGME enabled. This mod makes change to four files following Jimbuna's previously posted instructions. The files and changes made are spelled out in the ReadMe file.

The type XXI is made available in the 1st flotilla in 1939 for no renown cost.

I am posting this now as I see people asking on the regular SH3 board. I have been successfully using this mod to check out the new eye candy in GWX2.0 without too much worry about getting sunk (yeah, I also have a "normal" VIIb career going)....

I have successfully used this mod with vanilla, GWX 12/23, and GWX2.0.
As always, no guarantees. Thanks again to Jimbuna for the method!

Quick question: are the sensors available based on the year, or based on the sub? That is, what kind of radar detector/radar/sonar do I get in 1939-that which was standard on the VII's and IX's of the time, or that which was on the XXI's in 1945 when they first became operational?

I have checked the two remaining repositories plus my personal collection but was not able to locate this mod. Sorry.

Maybe someone here may have a copy and share it with you. :yep:

Good hunting,

Please tell me/us why must be this one?
Please!

It is easy to create an "XXI in 1939"-Mod youreself.
Everything needed can be found on Subsim with a phrase like "SHIII XXI 1939 site:subsim.com" in youre preferred Internet-Searchmachine.

On the other Hand it is possible to use one that is already available today (2024-01-28) and evan still availabe in two Incarnations.

The v1 from "Wredford Braun" (WB), very small 45kb here on Subsim:
https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/dow...o=file&id=1357

And the more bloated v1.3 from WB and "evan82" with some of the bells and whistles (Waterstreams) on WB's-collection:
old Link: http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=f...1041a3fc51d567
or newer: https://www.mediafire.com/?hq3o9o0gftq97

If you use not the vanilla unmodified SH3-install you should compare and modify the Basic.cfg and Flotilla.cfg comes with this Mod to your requirements needed for your Used-Mod-Install!
