Looks like harmless joking around to me . Calling someone childish for that seems childish , i bet your better than that .

hey guys,

I have little question.

Are there any good SH 5 movies out yes. I mean community made movies.
I cant look through the whole thread, so I'm asking. Silent Hunter 4 really brought up some of the better game based movies I've seen so far and I'm planning to do my 3rd SH movie, this time based on the new engine.

The movie will probably be a little bit more light hearted then the other two (if you are interested, you can find links in the SH4 movie thread).

How do u guys manage to get flooded? Oo At what damage level the sub start flooding?

@2ndBestKiller
there is no community made videos so far. We don't even have a community yet as there is a constant fight with bugs and the old guys from SH3. Even a machinima contest failed because none signed up. Will have to pass a long time until we get into calm waters with SH5...

I saw it a long time ago and is the only machinima clip on YT about SH5. But is just a dream as I done that on surface, no need to dive :( I already sunk millions of tons in Scapa without being detected or bothered by AI. Maybe that was the dev team dream about SH5, but the reality is way more painful. This is what makes me to be so angry on Ubi, they ruined such a great game/sim :((

hmm... screenshots look great - way better than what my game looks like. When I'm in external view or on the bridge during the daytime-there is an annoying bright haze to the screen like overdriven sun glare or something - I can't figure out what's causing it, but it looks nothing like the crystal clear outside screenshots I'm seeing in here. I have a ATI 4850 with latest drivers...any ideas what causes this bright/haze/sun glare effect outside?

Have you checked your contrast on you monitor or in options screen ?

supposedtobeworking 07-02-10 01:38 PM

yes it's not that because the screen haze goes away when I go into the interior of the sub. It's only in external view--very annoying.

With some of the stock single missions of SH5 , I also get a sort of disgusting fog all over the place , may be the developers put such fog to try to hide the graphic bugs , the images posted with my previous post are from the mission generated with the diesel smoke mod , you can go to the mod forum and search for this mission in the diesel smoke mod thread, such mod come together with a test mission to try the smoke mod , and this mission dont have fog

I will try to find such thread , found , if you want you can try this mission without fog ........http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=164484

Oh and yet another Question: Is there a level editor similar to the one in SH4?
It was pretty easy to use and yet powerfull enough to create some interesting scenes.
But i never found those bloody icebergs ...
