HW3 04-02-18 01:03 PM

I thought it might be but wasn't sure, will remove it with the 2.2.4 update. Thanks!

Hi, I have a question. In the generic mod enabler, I choose not to have the encrpyed bdu orders mod, because the enigma machine is way too complicated to use, and takes too much time(after all, I want to be a captain; why should I be decoding these messages? :D) to decode.

However, mid game, after sinking a ship(and not getting any credit for it for some reason, not even a ship destroyed marker on the map), I get an encrypted message. So, how do I actually disable this? I never enabled it to begin with, and I don't want to miss out on an important order or something.

HW3 04-02-18 09:39 PM

I get those messages from time to time as well, just ignore them. They are there for the people who are using the enigma machine, and can't be separated out.

I sailed through the Red X and nothing happened, no radio report, no orders update to patrol a certain radius for "x" amount of hours, nothing. The Patrol orders did not update.

Can you tell me the exact text of the initial task HW3? Maybe some screenshots as well?

Thanks for this reliable and great mod. I encourage you to keep updating it. :Kaleun_Salute:

"Patrol Area 1" in the captains log, and in the objective task shown by clicking the show objective button in the bar at the top of the game screen. The red X was on the map off shore a ways, almost due East from the airbase at Camden, Australia. I have completed the mission, so I will have to go back to a save before I entered port to get some screenshots for you.

TWoS SM Interior_Food Stocks

I drive a VIIB boat in Happy times. When I play with the "TWoS SM Interio_Food Stocks" mod and the U-boat is in 11 meter deepth and I choose "Camera on next unit" I get the message"Camera out of sector". If I disable the mod"SM Interior_Food Stocks" mod the camera of "Camera on next unit" shows me my U-boat.

bstanko6 04-05-18 01:12 AM

I noticed that too. It comes and goes.

Same here. As I used SH5 without external cameras I didn´t noticed it, but I tried with external cameras and, yes, the salamis don´t like the cameras.

Update to my post above. I have started a new Australia Isolation patrol. The date is March 13 1944. My given objective is "Patrol Area 1", the only thing different is where the Red X is located, just NE of Brisbane. I'm not going there, I will patrol around Fremantle.

It appears so, but I don't think that's big enough reason to completely remove the addon. It seems that external camera starts to "go out of sector" when food supplies start to diminishes as times goes by. Very cool feature which I plan to expand to aft crew compartment as well...:yep:

It appears that you have to sink one ship in order to complete the mission and move to the next patrol area. It seems also that these missions are not affected by saving/reloading which is very good. Range of all missions is 250 Km and it would be useful to add this info into mission description...:yep:

Happy hunting guys! :salute:

HW3 04-06-18 12:11 PM

There must be a radius limit on the sinking. I sank 6 ships around Australia last patrol, just none in the area of the Red X. I think the closest was around Brisbane.

Many thanks! Not a great problem for me because I mostly play without external cameras but it would be good to find a solution. What is the relation between cameras.cam and salamis diminishing? It seems very rare.
