Proof in the pudding...

That the only difference between men and boys
is the price of their toys.:D

It all looks great, Magic! I only wish I could afford something like it.
But, alas, my basement tends to hydrate after a heavy rain and we all know that water and electronics don't mix.:wah:

If I did build one of those, it would be the "O" scale like I had when I was a kid. Even more expensive than HO

Good to see a new post in this thread. Looking good, Magic! :sunny:

That Shay is awesome, and the whistle on them is chilling. Let me see, where did I put that video?

:haha:It doesn't hydrate that bad!:haha:
But enough to make anything metallic oxidize.

It would be a hoot to build a RC version of a Gato class sub but, the kit for that runs around $700.00.:wah:

I had never noticed the boiler was off center.
Very nice video.

I've been working in some fall colors to the layout What you do think?

I like it and I like the AMC Pacer parked on the street too.

I find the peripheral modelling of a layout like this even more interesting than the rolling stock (do you use that phrase in the US?) so I love the houses and trees.

Just one thing: that guy on the sidewalk in the brown sweater... has he just stepped in a doggie doo-doo?

Catfish 12-14-14 06:43 AM

^ :haha:

But this is really phantastic, like the "fall" atmosphere, it almost looks as if there's some heavy rain on the way with the dark blue background.

I envy you, i have neither the time nor the place (still continueing building the house), but i like this thread very much!

Have some put on sideboards or in a showcase though ..

I think it's great. Too bad there isn't a way to have the seasons change, as I'm thinking that scene would look good in snow too.

I used to think that if I could get involved in a major club-type project I would rather work on the buildings than the trains. Then again at the time I worked for a guy whose passion was collecting brass locomotives.

When I worked for the hobby distributor metioned above I discovered that you can find figures of almost anything, including the doggie placing the doo-doo and a couple "busy" in the bushes.
