Hire car would probably be cheaper than trying to use the railways around here. :hmmm: Given that half of the listed attractions are in Portsmouth and one other is in Cambridgeshire, there'll be some driving needed and the price of train tickets these days is stupid. Would love to go to the Royal Marines museum though. :yep: Might find something useful in their archives too... :hmmm:

At the subsim meetin', we decided that the IWM would be (almost) a full plate of things to do. If we went there, how much time would that take up?:hmmm:

Dont forget there's also the Historic Dockyard at Chatham
HMS Gannet a Victorian Sloop HMS Cavalier a WWII Destroyer which also sits in the drydock where HMS Victory was built and HMS Ocelot an O class sub from 1962 Paddle steamer trips on the Kingswear Castle along the River Medway to Rochester where you can then visit the castle or wander around the city and visit the Charles Dickens museum An hours drive from London http://www.thedockyard.co.uk/Netsite..._Warships.html From Chatham you can drive down to the RAF Museum at Manston, or go direct to the White Cliffs experience at Dover. I recon your going to need at least a week:D |

If it's in London or anywhere else near the Netherlands this year, I'll come if I have the time/money. In 2008/2009 I was just barely a member so it wouldn't have made any sense to come. This year it was in the US and I simply don't have the money for that.
