Destroyer group tactics?

Are there any games that do destroyer group tactics well? Was that ever really a thing? I assume that as asdic and sonar tech got better, saturating an area with depth charges with destroyers in formation were scrapped. But wanted to learn more and if any sub games have AI that employs group tactics.

We who played Destroyer Command used Group tactics when we played against Silent Hunter II player.
Even in real life the destroyer who guarded the convoy used group tactics.

Game-I don't know about destroyer game who has this possibility to play group tactics with other player or AI.

Is there any material that talks about these group tactics? I'd like to learn more about what they did to try and defeat the uboat threat.
