SH5 - Crash recovery?

So I picked up SH5 again and let's get straight to the point
I'm writing this the second time cause subsim also timed out after I pressed submit...

SO
I was doing the western british coast region's missions with 72h 200km radius patrols and then headed home along the eastern coast
Came along a 8 ship convoy that I totally annihilated with every single one of my remaining torps and shells. After turning for home base I had no less than 15 ships sunk with a tonnage over 100k
And it was all lost
This piece of...very good game crashed on me as I was only few kms away from Wilhelmshaven

I saved after finishing the last 72h patrol but when I loaded in again, it put me to the last objective, to do the last 72h again...

So is there any kind of dump file, recovery file or anything that I can recover my progress from?
I'm really pissed you know
Or at least tell me that convoy spawns are scripted and this will spawn again at the same time at the same location lol

I googled and also searched here before asking but found no relevant threads about recovery

"Kind of" scripted. Convoys will regularly sail on any historical convoy route, but their composition and route they take is to some extent randomized - if you go at this place and time again, the convoy might be larger, smaller or sail twenty miles away but it will be there somewhere.

As for recovering progress from crash, no idea really, sorry.

Seems like you are right

After having a 2 days rest recovering from this (lol) i did it again and indeed there was the convoy again, though much smaller with a bunch of liberty ships
But at least the game tried to compensate, cause it kept spawning those Rawalpindi look-alike amcs and troopships and some big Cinnamon tankers (I know that's not what they're called but i like that nickname lol)

Then it did it again after a port raid just before I wanted to save so eh

Lesson learned
Save after every minute :)
