HMS Triumph has been busy again

HMS Triumph has been busy again This time off the Kola peninsular Northern Russia

Mission: Working in conjunction with the USS Santa Fe to observe and track all shipping movements in and around the Kola Bay area

Secondary mission: Attempt to close the base at Zapadnya Litsa and confirm vessel statuses

HMS Triumph entered the area and quickly began locating several civilian ships including a freighter moving out from the Murmansk region, and an inbound container ship, also in the area were several fishing vessels observations were taken at 1800 position 69-26N / 033-51E.

ESM sweeps confirmed the presence of a TU142 likely on box patrol in the area, it was unclear why the aircraft was flying in the area, Triumph also picked up Tugs radars.
Noting that Tugs often escort submarines to the dive points, Triumph set her self up in a observation point close to the shipping area.

Subsequent observations and sonar recordings noted that an Udaloy class was leading an akula class submarine to sea along with the tug, no radar emissions were witnessed from the Udaloy.

As ESM had detected two tugs I decided to follow the udaloy and akula, I wasn’t disappointed coming from the opposite direction was a borei class submarine.
Both submarines reached their dive points and submerged the escorting Grisha and Udaloy went about clearing the area, HMS Triumph came within 1nm of the akula and Borei.

Subsequent tracking was handed off to Santa Fe

Proceeding up the rybachi peninsular noting traffic was light only one freighter moving plus one tanker at anchor in the bay.
upon approaching the base the quick periscope observations were taken, noting that there was atleast 2 Delta IV a Typhoon possible sighting of a Kilo and Oscar.
Surface ships were also present atleast 1 sovremenny DDG and a tanker.

During the photographing triumph picked up loud explosions in the area and decided to egress.

Kapitan 01-27-22 12:21 PM

Uses a lot of the seawolf interface just modified by the RA mod

I like getting in close without getting bounced :03:

I love working the inshore operations in the T boats having been to sea on 6 of the 7 over the years (not as crew as a rider)

Wow - cool!

I actually love the 'sneaky sneaky missions' too - where it's a good outing if you don't have to fire a shot and aren't counter-detected.

I'd love to make an intelligence mission in the Kola Peninsula, though it's just in my head, because it takes ages to put together and free time is pretty tight at the moment.

Please keep positing the photos - and making the missions! :ping:

Thanks I do enjoy doing these missions although i am not brilliantly skilled at it, ive never got my head around the triggers and a couple of other things so at best i would say my missions are basic.
