Dirty great wood pigeon came down the chimney today. Luckily there's a big fireguard covers the fireplace in, so Moira soon had a hold of him and he just shed a few feathers as he flew off. Why wasn't he covered in soot, I wondered. We had a proper chimney sweep for the first time last year, so he must've done a good job.

Did he bring Mary Poppins with him Mr Squirrel, :D and if that foreign person stuck his sweepers pole any where near Mary Mr Squirrel I'll have your guts for garters. :yep:

"God's Country"
Land so far out in the middle of nowhere that even the most basic artifacts of civilization are hard to come by.

Was a bit surprised this morning to notice that bees have taken residence in the wall mounted box at the rear of the property usually reserved for Blue Tits but it is interesting to see the drone bees hard at work.

I'll be letting them get on with life unmolested unless they turn their attention on the family pet dog when he is doing his regular rounds.

Can't say for sure, not my field of understanding so I'll take a photo.

Got my new rig up and running at last after two weeks of frustration. Now just need to get everything back on :D

Just cooking some fish fingers and a slice of onion for lunch on this dull wet day.

Planter beds all in with crops in and timed sprinklers set. Now off with the wife to buy flowers for the flowerbeds. Put new starter in boat's Nissan and remounted on Catalina. Temps in the nineties with no shade is hard on 66 year olds; I preferred last week's cool 60's...better for chores.
