Hi all
Recently Alexb released Clemson class DD. I want to ask how to duplicate the ship folder and rename it to Town class DD. I know that if i rename the contents of Clemson folder, am sure that i'll have a ctd.
Long time ago i had red in forums that i can open all files with s3d go to -Tools -Remap id's and change all id's.
Will that work?

I think its the same ship with different name. I had read that US sold to GB
at 1940 (Lend-Lease act) a number of those old DD'S. Ι quote the sil's of those ships

Hi again
I managed to transform Clemson to Town but as a ghost ship. Torps passing through and it doesn't showing on the map. Firstly thought that it was a "val" issue and replaced with the original but without succes

Maybe you cloned the dat and not the others files in the folder.
Try to use Pack3D, create a duplicate of original ship copying the folder, rename the folder, rename every file in it, open the dat with Pack3d (dat must be inside the renamed folder) and clone it. This will clone not only the dat, but every file into the folder.

What you have to do in this case is to remap the Id in the .dat .sim .val .zon .dsd (.cam) files by renaming them accordingly along with the .eqp file (if there are no other Loadout options). The rest of the .cfg .sns .log .sil etc files remain original
