solved - how to swap color of rpm display for port/starboard in CR and CT

Hi,

can someone tell me how I can swap color of rpm display for port/starboard in CR room, because both seem to be twisted with each other. I have already changed the label but it is not possible to just exchange the colors (red and green) or replace the displays/needles only of this displays in CR and CT room.

CR room:

CT room:

DER room:

In this pictures I run starboard engine on full speed (yellow arrow) and port engine is off. In DER romm is everthing fine and correct but in CR room are the display are opposite.
You can see in the blue frames that I already corrected the label with port (Backbord) and starboard (Steuerbord).

In this picture you can see, that port engine is off:

Or is this an issue in TWoS?

I suppose there is some texture for that. I donīt think is hard coded...

Just the color is a simple texture and if I swap these colors there, then all the red and green textures, such as the colors for the rudders or those for the valves, are also swapped. :k_confused:

Therefore the assignment in the gr2 files would have to be changed. Or I'm on the wrong track

Swap the Red and Green area in the file
various_metals_blanket_03.dds

Then rename it like I did or so.
various_metals_blanket_07.dds

In the CT and CR GR2 files change the texture to your new file name.

Use GR2EditorViewer unless you can use a Hex Editor.
Hex Editing is 1000X faster.

Hi Jeff,

I had already the same idear but not only the two rpm displays use this textur in CT and CR, as you can see in the screenshots. HEX editor is unfortunately new territory for me.

Please don't be surprised about the white or missing textures, I made the screen shots with my test gr2 files. :D

BTW: For example, I tried to replace the textures of the oxygen bottles in CR, but I always got an error message when saving the .gr2 file in the GR2 editor.
If I don't remember correctly, there always has to be an update of something - I think  - before saving. Just don't have the time to adjust right now.

You'll need to export the 3D model and change the UV's then.

Hi Jeff,

you got a PM.

Issue is solved and all rpm meter works correct and port is port and starboard is starboard in CR, CT and DER.

Thanks for your offer to help Jeff but in CR it was a stupid mismatch between two mods, like I told you and in CT I had to edit the sim file.

I‘m Just a little surprised because the sim file from the CT room was the original file from TWoS I think. :hmmm:

Maybe someone with TWoS can check the function from all rpm meter with stock TWoS file?
