[TIME COMPRESSION] Settings question

TimeStop=0
RealTime=1
LandProximity=1024
CriticalDamage=0
CrewEfficiency=1024
AirEnemyDetected=4
SoundEffects=2
CharacterAnim=4
EnemyDetected=4
RadioReport=1024
Particles=8
PrayState=8
HunterState=32
3DRender=32
Maximum=2048

These are my current TC settings for GWX SH3. How can I adjust it so that radio messages are ignored but not the ones where the sonar man or radio man finds an enemy ship? I want only enemy detection messages to slow down the game, not every single radio message about things that are so far away. Thank you!

I also dont get what soundeffects, characteranim, particles, praystate, hunterstate,and 3D render do. Thank you!

Ok, with the settings you have it set @.. is NOT going to stop radio messages, at all.

IF you want to (& are absolutely sure of NOT wanting to get any messages... which is NOT a smart thing to do, as you'll miss important info on likely ship movement messages. Then, that would be set to 0 (zero),

Soundeffects, CharacterAnim, Particles, PrayState, HunterState & 3DRender... all pertain to just how fast those are rendered... (be it visually... or sound wise) Pray/Hunter States... are how fast a time compression you can go up to. So... a breakdown would be, the following, from top to bottom in those areas there:

SoundEffects=2 This means that sound effects, would be heard, up to 2x's normal speed or Time Compression(hereby refrred to as TC).

CharacterAnim=4 crew on board would move about in a fast action, up to 4x's TC

Particles=8 seen moving about, if you have next/previous cam view or free roam cam set to: On. visible, up to 8x's TC.

PraySate=8 Amount of TC you can go up to, whilst avoiding being hunter as Prey (which is really what that should have been called, to begin with... NOT Pray... Pray is to talk to God, if you believe in Him... enough said in, on & of that... not here to get into any religious or philosophical debates about that...

:shucks:)

HunterState=32 The speed in TC in which you can do hunting, making target's, YOUR prey...

:arrgh!:

3DRender... the highest amount of TC you can do, & STILL have 3D items, effects & such, render into... well... view or to be seen.

Hope that this helps, clarify what those areas of the game/sim, are about... & how they work. :yep: :shucks: :up:

That, was just a possible suggestion... as I've never set radio reports to that... so did NOT know if that would stop sending or not... :shucks:

In the light of your, having attempted to do so... &... it NOT working, then would say, of going with that mod suggestion... that John, shared... which, if I understand the end results from it... after doing a look see at the mod & reading the available info... is intended... to lighten the messages sent to the Kaleun (here in, namely... you, as the sim/game Kaleun... :yep:) & pares those messages sent out.

Where is this folder located in the sh3 installation? I used to set this up using Commader but I'm currently running the game without it?

Usefull post by the way, thanks!!

Look in the data/Cfg/Main.cfg file, you will see the Time Compression settings.

And...

in the save folder for your SH3 modded... should you find your locked into a "game paused" dilemma... simply copy your main.cfg's

[TIME COMPRESSION]
TimeStop=0
RealTime=1
LandProximity=1024
CriticalDamage=0
CrewEfficiency=1024
AirEnemyDetected=4
SoundEffects=2
CharacterAnim=4
EnemyDetected=4
RadioReport=1024
Particles=8
PrayState=8
HunterState=32
3DRender=32
Maximum=2048

Take that copy & after opening up the save folder, look for main.cfg there

open that .cfg file & paste the copy of [TIME COMPRESSION] there, between:

[SETTINGS] & [VIDEO] sections, making sure to add in a space, there...

so it looks like this:

(example

[SETTINGS]
LoadingMovie=No
VoiceCommand=No
DisableMessages=Yes
EventCamera=Yes
TextsLanguage=0
VoicesLanguage=1
KeybLanguage=0

[TIME COMPRESSION]
TimeStop=0
RealTime=1
LandProximity=8
CriticalDamage=1
CrewEfficiency=1
AirEnemyDetected=1
SoundEffects=64
CharacterAnim=64
EnemyDetected=1
RadioReport=1
Particles=64
PrayState=64
HunterState=64
3DRender=64
Maximum=512

[VIDEO]

After pasting in the copy of [TIME COMPRESSION] in, the only thing that remains is tapping the red X & selecting save... & done.

You are thereby now... free & clear to go back, restart & reload and... continue your hunt.

Gute jagd, ihr Himmelhunde.! :arrgh!:
