Schleichfahrt mod

Have I missed a new megamod? I've been away for a while but spotted a link to this in the lifeboats mod thread. Anybody got any info about this:

Schleichfahrt!!! http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...&postcount=812

It's written in German only so I would appreciate some advice. It looks damn good and is by Uekel....so it must be good:up:

Excuse me if it has appeared over on the SH5 mods board and I have not noticed it.

Moin,

it is very simpel to installed

You have to install Part 1:
http://www.gamefront.com/files/21487..._1_0a_part1_7z

Then you have to choose an UI, the Mod is tested with MAGUi,
CSPMagui by DrJones Beta v 2.0 http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...43&postcount=1
(after download the ui, you have to check the subfolders for the mods you want to use)
+++++
IO_StrategicMap_4_2_Beta_for_CSPMagui by DrJones Beta v 2.0 http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...55&postcount=1
IO_MapCourseLine_normal pencil_mod (look: "A set of mods for IO map")
+++++
MineField Map for IO_StrategicMap_for_CSPMagui http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=3476

TDWīs UI is too memory heavy (think because SOAN), so it isnīt working according to my information.

So you have to intsall the ui after Part 1

Then you install Part 2
http://www.gamefront.com/files/22097..._1_0g_part2_7z

Thatīs all.

here is the german thread in the ubisoftforum:
http://forums-de.ubi.com/showthread....chfahrt!!-quot

with some photos

Itīs a very graphically demanding mod with a perfect athmosphere.

Which questions do you have about the mod.

I tested it, but my machine isnīt working well with this amazing mod.

Hope i can help :salute:

P.S.. Sorry for my english, is the school version with google translating help.

Yes, I agree! Very good Mega-MOD! :yeah:

limkol 08-10-12 01:29 AM

Can anyone let me know how it works with TDW's UI?
What about Equipment upgrades mods? Are there any conflicts?
Thx for your help guys.

The mod looks very interesting. Uekel knows his stuff:up:. It's a shame that this mod is not featured over here on the English speaking side. I think many people miss it.

Kalleblom 08-10-12 02:32 AM

Moin,

the once who tested with TDW New UI report Problems with it.

I think the reason is the meory-heavy of the graphic in "Schleichfahrt" and the functions in TDWīs UI like SOAN and so on.

In my Informtione someone is testing still with the NewUI by TDW but no information if itīs work meanwhile.

The General 08-10-12 10:08 AM

I am downloading now :0)

How up-to-date is this? Does it include TDW's recent Inertia Mod? If not, can I just add the Inertia Mod last?

Kalleblom 08-10-12 11:49 AM

Moin,

no, inertia isn't include.

At the end of this post:
http://forums-de.ubi.com/showthread....=1#post2070027

you see the list.

You can ask uekel, he must know where to add. Or probably he will write a patch. :06:

perhaps someone who speaks his language can convince him to translate it into english version or at least alow someone to do it for him so english speaking members can be informed about it.

at the very least i would hope it would be posted here at subsim for downloading

After playing it for some time, I can confirm that the only things in German are the dialogues with the officers, which actually are easy to understand and correspond to those in English. However, I couldn't find the file where they are stored, to replace them with their English equivalents.
